Basher Froumagerie - Jews for Cheeses

If I were in charge of Bashar - I would change its name to Jews for Cheeses. This location is the “arrival” location of a state that for its first 30 years boasted two kinds of cheese: yellow and white. Today, Bashar, with its multiple locations, offers countless varieties of cheeses that smell like a stinky foot, as it should. Some are pasteurized, some are not. Some are crafted in France, others in Italy and even more in Israel. All are kosher and will wreak havoc with the Ashkenazic lactose-intolerant digestive system, but its worth it.
At Bashar in the shuk, my prime location, one can find great Buffalo Mozzarella, fantastic balsamic dressings and olive oils along with other unique and choice appetizings that make this a must stop for the dairy meal or enjoyable nosh. The prices are not inexpensive, but the staff is professional - especially in appearance- and they know their trade well.
If you are looking for a great cheese option and to bask in the delight of dairy arrival, Bashar is your place. I promise it will be Gouda! Sorry…..not sorry!
Enjoy!
