Ticho House, or often called Anna Ticho House, or Anna Italian Cafe after the artisan who founded it, is a quaint oasis in the middle of a busy downtown Jerusalem. It feels like it belongs in Napa or Berkley or Zichron Ya’akov, but fortunately for you, it is in the greatest city in the world, Jerusalem.

The decor is clean and white. The foods are delicious. Each pasta sauce is bold, rich and creamy. The pizza is made fresh by hand and looks and tastes very Tuscan. The soups are thick and hearty. In short, each meal here is made right and little will steer you wrong on this menu.

The poached eggs, served for Friday brunch are worth waiting the whole week for! The roasted butternut squash is made right. The pizzas are great, but I always go pasta here and it has not hurt me at all. Try the salmon ragout or the tartuffo. Both are fantastic. This is a perfect place for brunch, lunch, dinner or post simcha gatherings.

FOr dessert, the lemon tart (you and I might call it meringue) and the tiramisu is what everyone talks about. Try it and you will too.

Enjoy Anna!
