The place for post-simcha events in the Old City
Quarter Cafe is the simple and ideal location for your post simcha celebration. They specialize in catered brunches, lunches and light dinners for people celebrating at or near the Kotel. The views are the reason to go. High up (perhaps one of the highest buildings in the Old City), this location offers sights of most of the city, especially the walled part of it.
The menu looks and tastes a lot like kiddush at Congregation Beth Shalom in Anywhere, USA. Tuna, egg salad, bagels and quiche…oh my. The bourekas however, are quite tasty. Also, the hot drinks are refreshing on a cold and rainy day.
If you are touring the Old City and want a real place to sit down, this works well. Especially if you loathe another dive-like establishment. You can spark yourself and your gang, rest your feet and enjoy the views. The food will be OK….but better than many other options in the Rova.
