Sushi Kebab
Ironic for a Sushi restaurant to use the “bait and switch” but Sushi Kebab does!
They lure you win with a unique meat-sushi roll, when it is only a small sampling of an otherwise authentic Israeli menu of grilled meats and organs.
Located in the middle of the bustling Machane Yehuda market, Sushi Kebab is small, not particular clean but offers a unique roll of sushi where in place of fish, steak or chicken are used. It is pretty in its presentation and tasty. But, as all of my fellow diners shared, nothing we would pine for again. We were glad we tried it…and we will leave it there. Marci Cuban and Barbara Corcoran would most likely say it is a product, not a business.
The service was fine, but it took over 25 minutes to make this roll, making me wonder if they were slaughtering the meat too.
I wouldn’t run to Sushi Kebab…maybe just “roll” over sometime when you are in the shuk. Place your order, go shopping and it should be ready by the time you are done picking out nectarines and halvah.
