An upscale and fantastic dining experience for the discerning and sophisticated palate.
A foodie in ANY world will be stunned at Herbert Samuel. It is everything you would want a fine and memorable dining experience to be, and then some.
Herbert Samuel is located inside the regal Ritz Carlton in Herziliya, Israel. Like its brand recognition, this hotel and this restaurant will settle at nothing but excellence. The restaurant is rectangular shaped room with a simple seating arrangement and a fantastic open kitchen. Each seat offers amazing sunset views over the Mediteranean and the Herziliya Yacht Club. There are some very limited (and tight surrounding) out door seating for two. While I recommend that for breakfast at the hotel, I do not advise outdoor seating for dinner at Herbert Samuel.
The service at this restaurant is up to the standards of the gentlemen and women of the Ritz. You will be greeted by professionals and served with style and grace in every manner.
Once you sit down, the non-inundated yet sophisticated menu will rock your mind and your palate. This is a classic Mediteranean array of food with a splash of innovation.
Start off with the red tuna and the beef tartare which will awaken tastebuds that you did not know existed! The pastas are made in house and in one bite you will realize it. The fish is fresh caught and ANY of the beef entrees are tender and melt in your mouth.
The desserts are a feast for the eyes and stomach. They are as delicious as they are stunning. You will want to photograph it then devour it!
One thing is for sure, this meal will cost you. It is one of the most expensive meals you will enjoy in Israel, but the operative word in that sentence is, “enjoy.” Check your credit card limit before the meal.
If you have the time, order a drink before dinner and watch the sunset on the patio of the hotel/restaurant and then make your way in to dinner. It promises to set the tone to a memorable evening.
The Ritz is my favorite hotel in Israel….well for sure outside of Jerusalem. This restaurant is one of many reasons why that is the case.
I look forward to seeing you at Herbert Samuel soon!
